Your
hard drive is missing from the system. Or, just does not recognize it.
The
obvious - Remove any USB devices like drives and any media from disc player.
Its trying to load, but can't find bootable hard drive, CD, or USB...
Remove
the hard drive and reseat (reconnect). Check BIOS by pressing an F key during
boot. Look on the screen for correct Function key. Might be F2 key. Verify
BIOS recognizes the drive. It must be listed! There is no going forward if
it's not. Check boot order and make internal hard drive first. Save and
restart.
I'm thinking from what you describe that you are just looking at the cursor blinking in the upper left corner of the screen. You haven't said what you did or what you are trying to do, but I suggest you turn the computer off (just push the power button in for about 7 seconds) and then restart it after about 15 seconds. If it doesn't start, go through the process again but this time, after you turn it on, tap on the F8 key. Like tap---tap---tap and keep doing that until you get a black screen with a white menu on it. Use your arrow keys to select "repair your computer" that you will see if you are using windows 7.
The green light blinking in the back indicates that the power supply went bad and is not turning on, go ahead and get the power supply replaced. Normally that light is supposed to be fully lit and green.
Psu is a Power Supply issue but the black screen with a blinking white line is not.
The blinking white line can mean there is no instructions to tell the Computer to boot up. Which could be possibly the system battery (cmos) or Hard Drive.
I would narrow those 3 things down first.
Its probably not the BIOS but the board warping beneath the CPU Socket or similar.. Dont flash it (BIOS) or it will probably kill the chip. Let me look up the model number...
If this set is under a warranty period or the manufacter warranty do not attempt to touch set as they will blame you if you attaempt to open set. Call the agent who serviced it and if they refuse to take care of the problem contact the manufacturer
