There should be a button or clip.. maybe a screw or two that holds it in place that may need to be removed first..

What does this android mean on my husbands phone, a Sony Xperia, the phone asked him to update and this happened, now he can do nothing at all with his phone, he has pressed the small read button nothing,...

Hi, the phone has to be ( factory reset ), and my experience is mostly Android phones. So let's get started. Turn your phone completely off. Remove the battery if you are forced to. Hold your phone in your left hand or if you are left handed, then hold your phone in your right hand. With your thumb you should have access to the volume key. With your second finger from the thumb, you should have access to the on/off key. And with your free hand choose a finger to access the menu key/button. I'm getting that you have no access to your phone. If that's the case, then proceed by opening the back of your phone, there should be the battery, if you cannot turn off the phone by the on/off switch, then remove the battery. Also if your phone has a SD card and Sim card, removed them both. Place the battery back in to the phone. Now we reset the phone. By the way, the reason I said to remove the cards, so there will be no accidental erasing of files. With everything in place, hold the phone in your secondary hand with the thumb press up the volume button and hold it pressing up with your primary hand and finger press down the menu icon/button/key and hold it as well as you are pressing up the volume key together, now, with your second finger from the thumb, press and hold down the on/off key, until your phone screen turns on. REMEMBER, THIS IS A FACTORY RESET. On the screen you prompt to follow steps, I advices you to do a FACTORY RESET your phone. The phone will guide you on how to select the action your phone needs. After you do the reset your phone will be as if Brand New.when the phone starts up do a shutdown and place the cards back into there own slots. REMBER, FACTORY RESET MEANS setting your phone back to the ORIGINAL SETTINGS. When all cards are in place, turn phone back on and make sure the SD CARD mounts up. If not go to settings then storage, and MOUNT SD card.

No dial tone on hand set battery is new lights up

Make sure your connection to the phone jack is secure.
Use another wired phone to make sure connection is good to your phone.
Secure connection in back of phone, and plug it in. The base MUST have power to transmit the signal to the handset even if the handset has a fresh charge.
Although the handset is normally linked to the bases, check to make sure via the instructions. To determine if the base recognizes the handset, press the "LOCATE HANDSET" button.
If the hadset responds, the links is there.

Hope this helps
