I have removed all screws and opened circular sides. I am unable to pry can apart. The hose is off the reel and one part is loose inside. I believe it is the hose guide. Any ideas? Next step garbage can and I won't be buying products made in China again! Thanks

seems my marvelous mechanical husband fixed it! I wouldn't recommend this task to anyone without mechanical knowledge and proper tools! We had to completely dissasemble the watering can and reassemble without any instructions. I told you he was marvelous

    .

I was correct in my first assumption: Hose guide came off inside the can and blocked the hose retracting or extending. Husband had to use an "O" ring extractor tool to take the hose off the can in order to tighten (he actually created a new spring with some wire he had) all parts and now it is better than new! This item was a very good idea, but had poor execution (cheap plastic parts). Stick to watering cans for real...Purchased my husband for Fathers Day/Birthday an Ely Hose Reel. Made in USA and real quality item. Steel and Brass with a 10 year warranty! Pricey but so worth it!

Water leak from O rings on spindle of suncast w 100 suncast hose reel

If it is leaking near where the garden hose connects to the spool that the hose is stored upon then the 4 screws that hold the flange with the outlet for the garden hose has loosened and needs tightened up. If it cannot be tightened because the part the screws tighten in to are cracked/broken you can drill deeper hose and use longer screws/ or you can disassemble the reel and flip end for end as the reel halves are mirror images and there is second receiver for the flange with the out let for the hose.

How to disassemble and reassemble

Hi
I believe this is one of those cases if you have to ask, then you likely shouldn't be taking the radio apart as there are no user serviceable parts inside. Having said that, there are usually four phillips screws holding the radio together.

Think looooooong and hard before you decide to disassemble it.

Why is my reel able to reel both directions instead of locking in place?

Sounds like the slider switch didn't get back into it's socket properly, take it back apart and look at that.

I have a Miele silver moon that kept shutting off while using it. I replaced the hose with the new 125-s model but problem came back. It does appear to be a problem with the hose. Any suggestions?

My S558 Red Velvet had the same problem. I disassembled the handle and cleaned the rings and electrical contacts. The problem has not come back.

Hole in hose

according to the schematic it doesnt look like you can take that coupling apart. Usually when one has a problem with an electric canister hose its just easier to replace the hose because trying to shorten it without damaging the internal electrical wires and reassembling with the hose working is very unlikely. the hose part # is 43433113. you might have a hard time finding it tho. that hose was discontinued on 1/09 (same time that dirt devil bought out hoover and moved them over to china.) if you need anything else feel free to let me know.

Start Pull cord replacement on John Deere s1400

Take the 4 bolts/screws loose that hold the shaft onto the weed-eater body, You will see the clutch drum, you need a long T20 TORX driver to loosen the screw in the center of the drum shaft. The screw probably won't come all the way out, so just pull the drum off as you loosen it.

Next you will see 3 flat clutch discs.

You may need to remove the spark plug and stuff some starter rope in the combustion chamber to keep the shaft from turning.

Unscrew these one at a time with a pair of large slip joint pliers. Be careful not to bend them and note which way they face. They unscrew clockwise I believe.

Once you have these out of the way, continue taking apart the plastic housing to gain access to the starter rope assembly. There is a spring under the rope reel, so remove the screw holding the reel in place and carefully remove the rope reel and spring.

Replace the rope, put the reel back in place and make sure the sping egages the little tab. Then wind it a few turns until there is moderate tension on the spring.

Feed the rope through the body and tie it to the T-handle. Replace the hold down screw that keeps the rope reel in place.

Test the pull tension before reassembly. It should retract the rope fully without too much tension and should not be loose. Lubricate the rope reel where it rubs against the housing with some light grade oil or lithium grease.

If everything functions, put it back together in reverse order.

Remove the rope from the combustion chamber and make sure there is no debris in it. Install the spark plug. You should be ready to go.
