I have a Plantronics Voyager Pro bluetooth headset and can't charge or power it on. The red light blinks slowly for a few minutes and then stops. It had been working fine but I was trying to do a myheadset upgrade through the Plantronics site when it seemed to overload or stop working. Does anyone have any ideas on how I reset it - or do I need to send in and hope for a replacement?

Make sure the headpiece is charged. Turn the headpiece off by pressing the little black button on top of the earpiece and holding for about 5 seconds. Turn the earpiece back on again the same way. You should have a slow flashing blue light on the mic boom. The base station will now try to find the earpiece and within about 20 seconds the red light on the base should be steady and blue light on top should be on.
If this doesn't work you may need to manually pair the earpiece to the base by pressing and holding the Listen Volume Adjust + Button and headset Call Control Button on the earpiece until the light on the mic boom flashes red and blue repeatedly. As above, the base station will now try to find the earpiece and within about 20 seconds the red light on the base should be steady and blue light on top should be on.

Make sure it is fully charged then hold the button down and don't let go till it flashes blue/red. You will see it turn blue first but still hold down the button till like I said it flashes blue/red.

I was searching for this today and happened to find the above on the plantronics website. It definitely frustrated me till I found out about how to put the base in pairing mode.

Try re-syncing the headset to the base unit:

You want to turn off the power to your headset and turn off your phone.
Remove for 30 seconds the battery from the phone and reconnect. Then
follow the pairing instructions found on pages 4-5 in this link
for the Plantronics Voyager Pro+.
