Ok this may be something smal that may be simple to fixs; your plugs are in the wrong cylinder?
Check Your gap size .060 (In thousandths of an inch)
Im not sure of the size of engine please look below for your make?

Random engine misfire is very hard to diagnose as there are alot of things that can cause this. I would check the PCV system first replace the pcv valve and inspect all lines going to the pcv valve for leaks. The other thing to do is replace the gas cap as this can also cause the code. Most likely cause is a fault in the emissions system.

it is always a good idea to stay with o.e.m parts and yes there is updated parts in the newer coils. and yes the M.A.F will also cause misfire faults but will not make check engine light flash or make car shake and shudder. also check you wire harness going to your coils make sure your ground wires are not cracked. That could be the main culprate. good luck hope this helps

sounds like a bad injector, just connection at the injector, also check for leaks at intake, one more thing , do a compression test on that cylinder start there, good luck.

My husband was going to replace the fuse for my secondary air I believe from under the hood. He said tha there was a 30amp fuse in there but all he had was a 25amp. The car started right up but threw a new code (P0133, P1133) Is it possible it's throwing the code because of the wrong amp fuse?
Was the 30 amp fuse bad,if so go to Autozone and get one and install and see if the codes appear.Then post the info. back here and we will trouble shoot,your engine is a 3.1,not a 5.1lol.
oops my bad! lol n I believe it was bad because it threw the secondary air pump code and when he put the 25 amp in it cleared the code... however, in my opinion I think it drove better on the 25amp. For some reason it just feels a bit more ruff. Right now the car is throwing P0440 and P1133, my husbands code reader also shows another P0440 pending
Code P1133 is not listed,but apparently Code P0440,is causing your problem.Check this out,does your oil need changing,if so,take to Buick dealer and they also will do a scan check for free and they will tell you what is wrong,I have a Toyota Tundra,I get Toyota Dealer to change oil and they do a complete scan and it's free.So,this is the best way to find out,put 30 amp fuse back in and go get a oil change and what they tell you,then you can make repairs and got it troubleshooted for free.

ok as of right now I just have the P0440 code being thrown. As soon as the monitors are reset and you go to look at the codes it automatically shows one evap code pending, Once the evap monitor is able to run it's cycle it throws the evap code and yet again another pending evap. I'm not completely sure whats wrong. I can also say that now my fuel gauge fluctuates every now and then. I do believe I have a small fuel leak up front. Also my husband said that my intake manifold was rigged for whatever reason. I do have a bad power steering pump as well because whoever replaced it last appariently missed a step. Also seems like my car is starting to bog down at times again (especially on cruise control).

Is there anything I said that leads more towards one thing rather than the other? I'm not completely used to the emission system yet. When it comes to the valves, sensors, or solenoid, I'm not too sure on how to tell it is bad
What I don't understand is if there are other codes that are thrown say for emission leak or solenoid bad, why is my car not throwing another code to break it down a little better?
Try using another Scan tool,Autozone and other auto part store use a scan that gives you many causes for the trouble code,not good there,but there are some scan tools that will pin point the problem,and the dealer has them.Here's what I would do,go to dealer and get a oil change,they will scan your vehicle and find problem and it's free,then you will know and decide to fix yourself or let them do it,cost to find out,a oil change.I take my Toyota Tundra to dealer to get oil change,they always scan for free,told me once my bulb in the license plate socket was burnt out,they replaced,cost was 1.00,but ask them if they scan before getting a oil change,all dealers usually do,there way of making money.
