What are your servers? WIndows? Linux? etc.

Could be a software configuration problem if you can ping them on the network from your PC.

Dell poweredge internet connection problem

A SCSI device would be a hard drive. Sound like you need to check the network cable, card, and configuration. Start by doing a simple ping.

ipconfig /all is the cmd to see the settings. Then ping the Gateway listed.

Anyone have any proxy new sites? My school has like a word filter so you cant access anything that has proxy or a social networks name in the address...and all of the usual suggestions are already...

Have you tried instead of a proxy website an actual proxy server configured in internet explorer by going tools > internet options > connections > lan settings unchecking automatically detect and checking use a proxy server then enter the proxy servers information. Their are lists of proxy server ips available online just search "proxy list" in google

I cant play cs:s online

This error message indicates that the game server which you are attempting to connect to is unable to contact the Steam Authentication Servers.
Please observe the following process to determine whether the error is a result of a Steam outage, issues with the game server connecting to the Steam Authentication Servers, or an issue with your internect connection.
  1. Try joining several different game servers - if you are able to connect to a different game server, there is an issue with the game server which reported the Server Verification Failed error
  2. If you are not able to connect to any game servers, check the Steam Status page - if the Steam Players and Game Servers graph shows a very sharp decline in players, there may be a temporary Steam outage
  3. If there does not appear to be an outage, check your connection to the Steam Authentication Servers through the Steam client:
    1. From the main Steam window select File then Settings
    2. Select the Internet tab
    3. At the bottom of the window, confirm that Steam is reporting the Steam has successfully connected to the authentication servers. message
  4. If Steam reports that you are not connected to the authentication servers, please exit and restart Steam and, if you are unable to connect to the Steam Authentication Servers upon logging back in and you have confirmed that there is not an outage, please see the Router and Router Firmware Issues topic to ensure the issue is not related to router firmware which is incompatible with Steam

Siemens Gigaset SE587 WLAN dsl

Error #105 TCP connection to the server timed out.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you have received this error, you are not using the latest RealPlayer. RealPlayer 8 Basic is a FREE, recommended update available for Windows 95/98/NT and recent Macintosh systems.
If your system meets the minimum system requirements, it is recommend that you update your player.
Error #105 TCP connection to the server timed out.
The attempt to connect to the TCP server took longer than allowed. This problem may be caused by a high network load (i.e. too many people on the internet) or the server maybe down.
If the load is too high, you may try later or you can increase how long your computer waits by changing the Network timeout values under the Connection tab in the RealPlayer Preferences. If the server is down, the only solutions are to try a different server or contact the server administrator for the site you are trying to access.

Networking probs.

Your running a windows 98 server? Do you not mean Windows NT server?
Windows 98 was not made to server as a server, there is no inherit file security permissions in place; just simple file/folder sharing.

If you need a simple file server, I would upgrade your 98 machine to windows 2000 or NT4.

Windows XP Professional works as a much more effective simple file server with much better security features.

Let me know if I can assist you further.
