I accidentally ripped the headphone jack out of my 3560 (laptop). It really tweeked the front bottom edge where the actual phono jack module is. Now.. low and behold... no sound from phono jack. I figure I ripped the module right out of the board. not a big deal, I CAN solder it. here's the question... I need to get TO the module and board. do you have step by step tear down, an exploded view chart or just some schematics that could help me?

Assuming the CD player has a standard 3.5mm headphone jack, get a 3.5mm to RCA audio connector. Put the 3.5mm plug into the headphone jack at the back of your CD player (or audio out if that's what it's labeled) and attach the white end of the RCA jack to the white connector in the Phono at the back of your Yamaha RX-V33 and the red end to the red RCA connector just below it in the same Phono area.
Switch the Yamaha to "Phono" and start the CD player. You should hear things now.
As you stated in your question there are 3 3.5mm headphone jacks connected to the speakers. Green is for headphones, red is for microphone, and black is probably just a line in connector.
plug the green connector from the speakers into your headphone port on your laptop and it should work.
because the speakers are self powered and have a few adjustment knobs on them, you will have to tinker with the volume coming from the laptop and from the speakers, so you don't have distorted, scratchy sound from the speakers when playing music at loud levels.
my suggestions is turn the laptop volume down to a quater of the volume and then turn the speakers up, let the speakers do the hard work and not the laptop..
The headphone jack on the shelf system is for connecting headphones. It is not an input for sound from an iPad or other source.
Buy a lead with headphone jack to red and white RCA/phono. Jack goes to iPad. Red and white goes to Game Port Audio in (bottom edge of unit). Select the GAME input. Play your music.
Plug the power transformer into the bottom jack on the back of the right-channel speaker. This is the speaker with the on/off knob on the front.
2
Plug the audio cable attached to the left-channel speaker into the audio jack on the back of the right-channel speaker. The jack is immediately above the jack for the power cord.
3
Plug the audio jack attached to the back of the right-channel speaker into the headphone jack on a laptop computer (usually located along the left edge), or to the audio output jack on the back of a desktop PC.
4
Plug the speaker transformer into a surge protector and the surge protector into a wall outlet.
5
Turn the on-off and volume control knob clockwise on the front of the right-channel Inspiron speaker to activate the stereo speakers and adjust the volume.
Check the back and front of your system. The AUX input may be either:
- two red and yellow holes (known as phono L R) or -a 'headphone' jack input hole
the cable might not have been supplied with the system. Also, the cable you need may not connect to your iPod through the large connection, it may actually connect through the headphone jack.
So, you may need either: -a cable with a headphone jack on both ends (one for the system and one for the ipod) or -a cable with phono L R on one end (for the system) and headphone jack on the other end(for the ipood)
You have to get a 3.5mm phono jack to 2 RCA cable. Connect the phono jack to the audio out socket of your PC ( green socket at the back of the PC if its a desktop or headphone out socket of your Laptop ) and then the 2 RCA plugs to the CD or Axillary input of the Receiver. You can also use the Video Aux input on the front of some Receivers. Just ignore the yellow socket.
There is a headphone jack on the Sony's front panel, on the right near the bottom edge. Connect the sender part of your wireless headphones to that jack. You may need some form of adapter depending on the sender's input connectors. If the wireless headphone system is working properly, this will give you sound.
your home theater has a AUX phono plug in the back you need to buy or make a cable that looks like this
to buy 3.5mm headphone jack>>>>> phonojack if that cable has only one phono jack on the other side then you also need this one phonojack>>>>>two phono jacks this is needed because if you kept it as one jack then only one side will play music
if you make it then 3.5mm headphone jack>>>>>> two phono jacks
