do you have taillights? most of the time there on the same fuse. also chk. to see if plug is all the way in on your headlight switch.

you should not have to remove the dash to install a new radio all you have to do is remove the trim around the radio and then take out the bolts that hold the radio in and remove the wires from the back and also if there is a Walmart or Radio Shack near you get an installation kit and you plug it from the plugs from your old radio and it is alot easier to wire it that way

Hello, I work for a GM dealer in Texas. I have seen this issue a couple of times, on your model and several times on the Trail Blazer. That vehicle has a cassette type ignition switch, that have had some issues. It can lose one leg of the switch intermittently and cause several things to go nuts. I just looked on our service site and there are no bulletins related to the issue. If you know a tech at a dealership, have him scan the vehicle for codes and send them to me. Also ask him to check the power mode operation on the scanner, It will let you know for sure if it is a ignition switch. The switch is easy to change and costs about $35 so it is not going to break the bank. Electrical problems are difficult to diagnose at best but really hard not being there to do the testing. If you can give me any codes/ power mode info I will be better able to help you. Good Luck

The warranty is 3 years and 36 k miles bumper to bumper and/or what ever extended warranty you might have purchased. What you could do is check out some salvage yards and see if they have a good dash in your color. This would be my way to go.The only thing is you still have to have some one install it.With out seeing it it is hard to say how hard of a job it is depending on what part is separated. Some of these are not that bad to replace when you know where all the hidden screws are.Usually behind the dash vents and on top by the defrosters.Hope this helps.Good luck.
