Bought and installed a usb wireless lan for my desk top, it brings up all the wifi in my area, i can connect to my wireless router i am using now with my laptop but wont bring up web pages. shows i am connected to the wifi just wont bring up inter net. the wireless usb adapter is a realtek 11n usb wireless lan and intalled properley, can someone give me a suggestion why it wont let me on the internet when i am connected to the wifi router.

To test your Internet connection use a LAN cable, connect to your laptop to your router and if you can get an Internet connection then most likely your USB wireless adapter is not configured correctly for connecting to your wireless router.
To connect your computer to a wireless router, you click the Refresh network list, then Choose your wireless network and then click Connect to your secured Wireless Network, it will asks for a Network Key before allowing you to connect into your wireless network. This Network Key is either the WEP, or WPA or WPA2 Encryption key that is used to configure the Wireless Router. The Passphrase is an alternate way to setup the Encryption key.
