2.5 v6. 120k. Was running fine . also replace valve cover gasket due to oil seepage, replaced spark plugs, crank sensor, got a "good distributor, still no start until I replace the computer. Starts but cuts out right away!! Heard it may be a security thing?
See if resetting your ECC (ECM) called the computer will get rid of these problems. You do it by unhooking both battery cables, waiting at least 15 minutes and rehooking the battery. No security thing, only the fact the computer needs new settings for the parts you installed.
What will cause the fuel pump not to get power on a 1997 Chrysler Sebring Convertible? No codes are coming up when scanned. the Crank Sensor has been changed & put a new fuel pump on it. Also, is there a way to check the computer without getting a new one? Please help! I have had 5 different people look at it & no one can figure it out! Thank you
@John I have done that. The fuel pump still won't get any power.
@ZJ It is not showing any codes t all.
@HomeTime How do I check the pressure?

HAVE SEEN THIS BEFORE AND THE STARTER HAS BEEN THE CULPRIT..HAVE NEVER REPLACED A FUEL PUMP ON ONE OF THESE VEHICLES AT ALL
Testimonial: "I replaced the starter. This job is quite substantial. Also found the nut connecting the cable to the starter coil was not tight. I think it is fixed."
SOURCE: 1999 Chrysler Sebring Convertible code P1495. I
Code 1495 = Leak Detection Pump Solenoid Circuit
Remove the connector from the solenoid (should be on the back wall,
just to the drivers side of the air-hat). You will have the solenoid
to check and the harness. What you want to measure is the voltage
coming from the harness and the resistance of the solenoid.
Turn the
key to the "ON" position but do not start the motor; the voltage at
the connector should be at least 10V or more,.now, check the
resistance of the solenoid (should be around 35 ohms).
Hope helps.
