The most common reasons a Ford Explorer Sport Trac speedometer isn't working are the vehicle speed sensor (VSS), a faulty speedometer, or an electrical issue. Search our network of RepairPal Certified shops near you to speak with a technician about your issue. The rear wiper may stop working.
It is inside the left frame rail below the drivers door, you need a special tool to release the filter from the line. filter just snaps into its metal holder. Good luck and you can get the fuel line quick release tool at most Auto Parts store.
I hope you didnt spray starting fluid through the mass air meter. If you did, this will cause a very expensive repair. There is a "Hot" wire in there that will be damaged. Please tell me what engine you have, either a 4.0L SOHC or a 4.0 OHV. The issues could be different, depending on the engine. Both need fuel, spark, and compression to fire with the fuel, and ignition timing and the fuel timing is critical.
