HOW TO FIND MEDIAN VALUE FOR A SET OF NUMBERS

What exactly are you looking for? All I can tell you is:

1. The mean is the usual average
2. The mode is the number repeated most often.
3. The median is the "middle" value in the list of numbers.
4. The range is just the difference between the largest and smallest values.

To find the Median, place the numbers you are given in value order and find the middle number. 4:5:6:7:9:10:12 the median is 7

To find the Median, place the numbers you are given in value order and find the middle number. Example: find the Median of {13, 23, 11, 16, 15, 10, 26}. Put them in order: {10, 11, 13, 15, 16, 23, 26} The middle number is 15, so the median is 15. (If there are two middle numbers, you average them.)

That average is the value of the median.
You can imagine the median as a virtual (not really there) data element inserted between the two middle elements and having as value the average of the two middle elements

Now, was there something about fractions?

Consider these numbers: 2,3,5,7,13,15,25

Mean: the arithmetic average of the number group, so 70/7 = 10
Median: that value with as many numbers on one side as on the other, so 7
Mode: the most often occurring value, so there is no mode to this group of numbers, which can occur.

The median of a finite list of numbers can be found by arranging all the observations from lowest value to highest value and picking the middle one (e.g., the median of {3, 5, 9} is 5). If there is an even number of observations, then there is no single middle value; the median is then usually defined to be the mean of the two middle values. It is similar to an average. or a root mean square value (RMS).

There are 10 values, an even number. Middle element is not among the values. There are two middle elements (the 5th and the 6th) or
