Is it possible to join a cut cable on a hedgetrimmer and then use it.

I'm going to give this a shot hoping that you don't fry something.
Be careful.
It's just basic wiring.
The motor has 2wires coming out ?
If yes, it doesn't matter which of the incoming Black/White, or Euro Brown/Blue connects to which wire on the motor. The Green/Green with Yellow stripe Ground goes to metal aka ground. Hopefully you can find where the original ground connection is located and put ground there.
You will have to cut ONLY the Black (Brown if Euro) wire at/near the switch.
One end of the cut Black/Brown wire goes to one side of the switch, the other cut end goes to the other side of the switch.
Here's what happens -
With the switch off and the vacuum plugged in, nothing runs because the Black/Brown wire is not allowing a path for current because the switch is off.
When you turn the switch on, the circuit completes. Current flows thru the switch to the motor, out the motor on the White/Blue and back into the outlet..
If something shorts to metal the current will flow thru the metal and into the Green/Yellow stripe wire and into the outlet and trip the breaker.
If you ever take anything apart to repair, the first tool you get is your phone and take pictures of everything.

normally with a henry the cable breaks from where it joins the hoover just take apart from hoover end cut about a foot of cable off and then rewire

its easy buddy just take the back off and cut the wires at the switch as close as possible then just join them together and that's it make sure and tape it though all the switch does is joins the wires together when you press it anyway and believe me a lcd monitor is real easy to take apart just have a thick towel ready to face it down on to save scratching

u burnt out a fuse--secure a clymer manual for troubleshootin

on pata ,flate data cable use in long connerter . on sata cable we use thin and flatcable join in n small squire port. some bord have both type port we can use diffrent port in same time . but port should be good. i think there no chance to join different connecter joining. we look seriously. in any coonater we saw cuttin g shape or male female shape. power cable of smps which join in hdd/cd room may be lose when we join any part it can be short so connecting any cable before we do switch off or pullout powercable.

There is either a break in the cable, which when you push the plug back on you get connection, or the switch is gone. I would say there is a break/lose connection where the cable joins the plug that actually joins the switch. try this. Get a pair of pliers and crimp the joint tightly. If this doesn't work, cut the wire as close to the plug as you can, bare about 5mm of the end of the cable, slip it into the contact side of the plug and push onto the switch, then if it's still the same do the same with the other side. Bet it works! Go to a motor factors, get two new plugs to fit on the prongs, crimp the bared cable into the plugs and he-presto! A repair for $1.00

Possible hdtv switch on cable or your cable connection are backwards for your component conections.

Pull the alarm box down from under the dash (usualy cable tied)and follow all the black wires to where the joins have been made in the original loom.The original loom is color coded,cut the appropriate black wires so they can be used to join the original wires back together.If you have central locking etc also trace wires back to where the black wires have been joined to the original loom.All these joins are usualy done under the dash and usualy joined to the ignition key wires.You will need a pair of wire cutters and a roll of electrical tape.good luck and a happy new year
