Brought brand new r4 card can't get it to work

Need downloads for r4 sdhc (ndsl/nds) as im having problems getting it to work as i have no sorftware disk.thanks

    I can transfer the games to the SD card but it won't allow me to play them on the DS once the SD card is placed into the R4 card!!!

    i just brought two bnib r4 cards ,ihave two nds lites 1/pink and 1/red neither card works in pink console but both work in red console any suggestions

    I have 3 R4 cards and they all work in three DS lites but I bought my son a new DS lite as his old one was worn out and the new one won't recognise any of the R4 cards one of which has a homebrew system version 1.19u. Any help would be much appreciated.Thanks

You need to find out what type of R4 you have. You could maybe check out http://www.dealextreme.com/search.dx/search.r4 to see what one you have. Each r4 is different and you need the correct firmware for it to work.

Some r4 cards are a ripoff so trade it in for some other games in stead trust me u will have more fun with working game not brocen one

That error is recent for all <a href="http://www.dscardworld.com">R4i SDHC</a> but there's a fix in the latest update to the card. or you can roll back the date on your DS.

Which kernal should I load for R4 Upgrade Revolution for DS (NDSl/NDS)? There is an web address www.R4I-SDHC.com but when I log on this it is still not clear which to load. Also what are the steps I need...
Hi,

Click here, scroll to the bottom of the page and download the "English Kernel v1.8" (I'm assuming you want English).

1) Firstly connect your micro SD card and then extract all the files from the zip file and copy them all to the card.

2) Next put your .nds files, mp3 etc onto the SD card (anywhere in the root of the card is fine).

3) Put your SD card into the R4, pop it into the DS/DSL and that should be it.

I bought a ra(ndsl/nds ) for my ds lite and
Mine works fine!!
Download English 1.18 from the R4 website.
Unzip
You should have 4 files on your card
_system_
moonshell
_DS_MENU_DAT
_DS_MSH_NDS
you then add the .nds game files from wherever you get them from
Make sure the card is formatted first, ie there are no other files on it. try FAT. rather than FAT 32. I can't remember which but I've had no problems with either the card or the software, best thing since sliced bread, and it only cost me a tenner.

R4 in NDSL freezing
The only thing i can suggest is to go to the site that is on your card and download the new firmware for your card, it maybe that you just need to update your card, if that dont work you may need to buy a new card, i would not leave your card in the nds if you are not using it for a while, take it out, dont leave it in the nds, it maybe that the contacts are worn.

A NEW NDSL R4 REVOLUTION 3 FOR DS WILL NOT RUN
i have a ndsl r4 ver 3
and had it some time,

they are alittle fussy at times,

But go to www.ndslr4.com download v1.25 English


This should solve the problem or at least ease it,

You may have to power on and off a few times, take the R4 out everytime you do this, but once it works it works well, i have over 165 games on one R4.

Ds shuts down whenr4 inserted
You should check if the R4 card is actually R4 SDHC, because the firmware of R4DS is not compatible with it. If it is SDHC, go to this website http://rs320.rapidshare.com/files/140174805/English-1.21.zip to download the firmware for your card. If there are any roms on it, you should save them somewhere else, for you have to format the card first (do this in windows by going to 'this computer', then right-clicking on the SD card from your R4 and then select 'format'. Warning! Never select 'quick format'! This could do damage). Now your card is completely empty. Copy the files you just downloaded and unzipped to the card (5 files; _system_, moonshl, _DS_MENU.DAT, _DS_MENU.INI and _DS_MSHL.NDS). Now put the SD card in the R4 and it should work properly :) I had the same problem, and I have just solved it *grin*. I hope this was useful.
