I recent got my purse stolen with all of my keys in it. that also includes the gas cap key for my 1997 dodge neon. I had a spare key for the door and ignition. but i now need gas and i have no key! what can i do?

You may need to call a lock smith. if you attempt to remove the cap by force you will damage the filler neck adn cause an evap system leak. if you cut the cap off i would be concerned with debris falling into the fuel tank and causing drivability problems not to mention the possibility of making a spark at the top of you fuel filler neck,.... well you see where that is going. maybe there is a number stamped on teh cap near teh key hole that would be helpful to teh locksmith.
