Security system my car wont start. The security system will not regonize the is there a way to bypast this.

a bad security system would restrict the ignition system from activating so the engine may be perfectly fine but until the security system give it the ok, its gonna sit. have someone take a look at the security system and see if they cant fix the system or deactivate it (what use is a security system if your car wont start right?)

Do yourself a favor. Take it to a shop that installes the systems.

Hello: If the security light is on/flashing while you have the key in the start position you may have a ignition lock cylinder failure. If so you will have to replace the lock cylinder.

Looks like the TDM in the security system (VATS/PassKey) is having problems, it's typical on those cars. You can find a great write-up here: http://newrockies.ca , it was the only thing that saved my Park Avenue.

try disconnecting the battery should reset the system

The security system is shutting down your fuel pump for some reason.Have the car checked for security codes.

you need to get a new key made and coded

You need the code reprogrammed into the security system; Contact a dealer for the code.

With the new lock cylinder in it, turn the key on. The security light should blink. Leave the key on for 10 minutes, the security light will quit blinking and go out after 10 min. This will reprogram your security system and the car should start. Also leave a battery charger on it while the key is on, If the battery goes dead during the 10 minute reprogram sequence, you will have to start over again.

as long as security theft system is on, car wont start.

don't you have the remote key to disable the theft system?

you can bypass security but you have to have wiring experience and splicing before you can proceed.
