I have a usb 2gb and want to put music from my computer onto the card and I have never used one before

1. well put it into your computer 2. what kind of computer do you have windows or mac ? 3. windows go to start computer then it should pop up as memory card/ or sandisk then you just drag and drop. 4. for mac all you do is step 1. and it should pop up. then go to documents and drag drop to the file on your desktop

simply copy stuff and paste them after opening ur card.

It is hard to provide any useful suggestions without knowing the type of cell phone your son is using.

Normally he would put the memory card in the cell phone microSD slot (provided it can support 2gb card), plug the USB cable from computer to cell phone (if it supports this). Normally the phone will have also got some software apps CD which should be loaded to computer. This will provide the necessary functions to load music files to the phone.

Alternative to USB is bluetooth connection which both the computer and the cell phone will have to support. He can transfer music files that way.

I am not sure if he can copy the files directly from the computer to the memory card and play it on the cell phone as data formats are not standard. Also iTunes files need to converted to mp3 format. If these are protected iTunes files then it becomes a bit harder - best to burn a CD and then rip into mp3 format.

Once again these suggestions are useless if cell phone cannot play music (mp3 or WMA etc) files, does not have microSD slot, does not have USB or bluetooth support.

try to plug it in another port at the back of your CPU plug it directly to the motherboard, if it does not work try to use another card reader, check your micro card if it is put correctly to the card reader,

Just put ur devices in then select the removable media drive which is max in fat system then copy ur files on the adaptor then paste to ur sandisk 2 gb drive

The micro card (the smaller one) can be used alone in a port that accepts (microSD ports)such as those on a Sansa c240, c250, e250 etc.
If you have a regular SD slot (larger than microSD) then you plug the micro card in the adapter and plug the whole into a regular SD slot.

Plug the card in your computer and copy paste the files. Or plug the micro card in an MP3 player that accepts it and use you music transfert software.

You only have one card (the micro SD one), which you can use in two possible slots.

is this on a mac or pc? if on a pc plug it in then if it doesnt pop up go to my computer and find the file for it then open it... then u select the music file u want and either right click and hit copy then go over to the cards file and click paste or you could click and drag it onto the cards file. sorry if u have a mac i havent used those much and dont know how to do this on it

i can't put music on my micro sd card from my windows or on my pc.

1. connect your memory card to computer by using memory card reader.
2.you will see memory card as a partition in your pc's my comuter.
3.select it and go inside the memory card by either double clicking or right click and selecting.
4.make a folder there for saving music.
5. copy music from your computer to that folder.

Hi All 

I had this issue and solved it...so thought id share....

if you go into the settings of your phone and choose connectivity option, then usb, you can choose how you want your phone to be picked up by the pc...your options are

Mass Storage device
LG Suite (default)
Music Sync
Always ask (will offer you the options above everytime you plug the USB in)

Choose Music sync (or better off the "Always ask" option as you may want to use other features) and then it wll pick up the phone in the suite
