SOURCE: HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-T20N ATA Device

try this ..

you must start regedit ( start -> run [See screenshots at the bottom] Type here: regedit )

search the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Control/Class/
search for "4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318"
if you doesn't find anything, search only for a part of the string.

now search the propertys UpperFilter an LowersFilter and kill the value. If only one prop. is there, you must kill only the one value

on my laptop it works!!

Try running System Restore to a day just before this failed. It's a software issue according to other forum posts elsewhere.

Dear Sir,
Please port details questions to help us to serve you better.
I assume you are getting error code 10 which means DEVICE CANNOT START. For solving this use your driver CD, supplied with the DVDRAM. And check from device manager that the device is enabled.
Please rate me appropriately if you are satisfied with my answer,in case, if you want any clarification please get back to me.

Put the "System Restore" disk into the drive,
and restart your computer.
Choose to "change boot order" so that the first boot-device is your CD/DVD unit.
Your computer *WILL* boot from the disk in the drive,
allowing you to reinstall Windows.
