The LCD Display has dimmed out to something like a negitive display but when I pused the diplay in thright hand top corner it lit up again although when I let it go it weht dull again
There is a loose connection for the display near where you pushed on it to get ti working again. It would either need to be replaced or opened up and fixed by someone with knowledge of electronics.

There is no adjustment on this model. Mine was too dim and the only way I was able to make the display brighter was by removing the front lens. I then used a nail and a knife to scratch and cut (from inside) the rectangular area of the lens in front of the display. It looked nice afterwards. If you need it dimmer, I would recommend putting a small shaded sheet behind the lens like the ones used for tinting car windows instead.
Press the yellow button on the remote, do not release. You will notice that lights will go from bright to dim and vice versa. Remote shows percentage of light on the LCD (display). Good luck!
I found a posting that said this usually is a problem with weak memory batteries or a bad battery contacts. I replaced batteries and cleaned contacts and the problem was solved.

Sounds like the backlight inverter board.
It's a very common problem.
LCD's use four small Cold Compact Fluorescent bulbs to back light the display. (thats what gives the LCD it's brightness allowing you to see it)
The inverter board runs these lights and when they go bad they will typically show symptoms like you have or the monitor power light comes on and you have either no display or a very dim display.
If you ever have one that has no display but the power light is on you can check by shining a flashlight directly into the LCD from the front (right into the screen) if you can see an image then it's either the inverter board (most likely) or the CCFL bulbs have gone bad.
The inverter board and CCFL's are replaceable.
