Either the pump is only producing low pressure or the expansion valve is faulty ,you will need a special machine to sort it out as Ac systems contain dangerous gas and its an offence to let this gas into the atmosphere ,you need the machine to test the pressure and then empty the gas for work on the system and this should only be atempted by a qualified engineer
SOURCE: replaced all air conditioner parts and still blows
no dealer has a reset for the a/c system by you mentioning that you replace everything it means the a/c compressor, air dryer, and the most important the orfice tube. if you hadnt replace the orfice tube wich converts the liquid into gas when it gets hot thats your problem.alot of mechanics wont change it as an a/c mechanic will.
SOURCE: where is the valve to release the freon on air
Not only ias it illegal it can also cause YOU injury. The freon will come out in a fast cold spray. This spray can cause instant frostbite and serious eye injury.
SOURCE: my air went out...
My 2001 limited did the same thing. I bought a refridgerant refill kit from Walmart and plugged it in, but it showed that the level of refridgerant was fine. Turns out the AC belt had come off. I found it laying in the skid plate. My auto shop charged me $25 for a new belt and putting it on.
SOURCE: Mitsubishi Eclipse Ac and heater problem
cold air on passenger side of car and warm on drivers, why
SOURCE: please advise how to add freon to mitsubishi
The best thing i can tell you is to take it into a shop. You can add freon to a system but you need to know what kind your vehicle needs. If it takes the new current freon your in luck you can buy a recharge kit at any local parts store. If not you have a few options. You can get a conversion kit to change the system over to the new freon or you can try to find a shop that can recharge it with the older freon for your vehicle. Since its an 01 it should be the new freon but i cant be sure. There is a fitting with a cap on it on you AC Lines. should be 2 a red cap and a green cap. You remove the green cap and with the engine running attach a recharger bottle from the store and refill the system. Note the freon recharge kit will come with some instructions to always read them first. hope that helps good luck.
