SOURCE: uploading pictures from camera to computer

I would check Vivitar's website for a camera driver file you can download that would enable you to use it. Not sure what you mean by install file being locked. In general, I would upgrade to Windows XP (or Vista if your machine will support it, once they've gotten more bugs out). Windows ME is basically Windows 98 with some multimedia extensions, and not one of Microsoft's better efforts-it's also old, so not many updates will be forthcoming.

SOURCE: camera chargersand computerleads

Good Morning:

Hope that you are wellJ

The charger lead will probably only cost you a few dollars.

You will need to purchase a charge and the complete set is probably about $20.00.

And, yes, you will need software. You can visit Vivitar’s website to see if that is available for your use.

If I can be of further assistance, please let me know.

And, remember; always include the type of Operating System and the type of computer you own, when you submit your questions. It simply makes for much faster solutions.

Have a wonderful morning.

SOURCE: Need a new battery for Vivitar Vivicam 8300S Digital Camera

I bought a replacement battery for my Vivtar 8300s today at Batteries Plus. If there isn't one near you, go to their website: www.batteriesplus.com Cost was $17.95; they may have to order it from their supplier in New York, but the battery is in their product list. It's Empire model BLI-315.

I had this problem, and I fixed it by flipping the battery around. It looks like it's supposed to go one way, but it's supposed to be the other.

I got a vivitar camera but i can't use the vivitar experience image manager cd because my laptop does not take cds. Is there another way to access vivitar experience image manager

You don't need the Vivitar software.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

Picasa also gives you superior photo editing capabilities than the Vivitar software and will work with photos from any digital camera.

How to record sound on Vivitar vivicam t328? It has a mic and speak spot. so you can't say it can't.

Where's the microphone on your T328? Yes, it does have a speaker, but that's so the camera can beep at you.

Vivitar Experience doesn't see my Vivitar Freelance V15 camera, so can't open/edit pictures.

Hi,
Try with different USB port in your system. The software is not able to recognize your camera if the cable is faulty try with different cable / USB ports .
If you still face the problem , then uninstall the software completely from the system .Reinstall Vivitar experience once again and now connect your camera . It will now detect and you can open and edit pictures .

Hope this helps .
