Unscrewing the spray assembly and pushing the shuttle up toward the flexible push plate returns the faucet to stream. How do I make it do this automatically?
I had the same problem 2 yrs ago (on a 2 year old faucet). It happened again this weekend, I unscrewed the aerator and was able to unstick the sprayer. I don't like that there is no way to manually turn the sprayer off, but an otherwise pleased with the faucet.
It was a pretty simple process, taking about 5 minutes:
1. unscrew silver ring around aerator
2. pull out aerator
3. pull out black o-ring (you don't technically have to do this, but it's better to pull it out, than to have it fall out accidentally and go down the drain)
4. use your finger or a chopstick to unstick the sprayer (the little silver dot in the middle of the faucet). This should not take much pressure. I barely had to touch it and it unstuck. You can then press on the top button to make sure it springs back on its own.
5. Replace o-ring, and aerator, and screw on silver ring.
I would try cleaning the sprayer with CLR to break up and remove any deposits. If cleaning does not reolve you may need a new sprayer. The part number for the sprayer is 14893801 in steel optic. It is available through your local dealer or online dealer. Feel free to call me at Hansgrohe 1-800-334-0455. Press #2 for tech. Ask for David.
