Some of the phones identified to have had this SMS issue are the LG290C, LG420G and Samsung T301G. Did you upgrade from the 420G to 440G? Certain mobile phone upgrades affect the ability of TracFone customers to send text messages internationally. Or your phone isn't capable of texting internationally. If it's supposed to then you need to call Tracfone customer service and tell them.
No, your Verizon iPhone 4 is CDMA only and incompatible with Australian carriers which all use GSM.
The most affordable way of remaining reachable is to purchase an inexpensive pre-paid phone once you get there, however it will require using an Australian number, incurring international text charges.
If you wish to receive texts on your US number while abroad, call Verizon customer service. This will require the use of a more recent phone, compatible with both Verizon's CDMA and foreign GSM networks.
You can go to the Mobile tab of your Account Settings page to add, remove, or switch phone numbers.
If you already have a mobile number on the account, you can click "Add another phone" to activate another number for Mobile texts, or remove your existing number by clicking "remove" next to the number you wish to remove.
If you have more than one number registered on your account for Mobile Texts, you will have the ability to choose which number you want to send your Mobile Texts to. Simply select the mobile number you want to receive your texts to in the "Send texts to" drop-down menu at the bottom of this page.
This is an international symbol on the start of area codes. IE I live in Australia ans text messages received from other Australian mobiles have +61 which is the AUS international area code. If you replace the +61 with a 0 (in the case of AUS text messages) this is now the full mobile number the text was received from. Hope this helps.
i think u have not set the message centre settings correctly contact the service provider to give you the right message centre number and things should go on
also if you are sending out an international msg or even a local msg with contry code appended to the number then make sure that either '00' or '+' exists
eg:+1xxxxxxxxxx or 001xxxxxxxxxxx is ri8
1xxxxxxxxxx is incorrect
