Battery hookup for a 35 hp vanguard

I see a couple of harnesses that are already conected to other harnesses, but I see no loose wires that I can trace back to either the starter switch or starter motor. Any direction or links for specific wiring diagrams would be greatly appreciated.

Follow the wires from the solenoid its wires go from the battery to the starter, a small wire on it comes from the switch it would be the wire from the switch that is the furtherest on the switch "starting " blade on the switch..the heavy wire to the starter should be red the small wires black..good luck

Did you ever get an answer? Mine is doing the same. I think the starter is toast. I bought a new battery, but spins just as slow. Thanks Ken

SOURCE: Briggs and Stratton Vanguard 23Hp starter issues

The starter may need shims between the engine and starter to permit the relative gears to release. Compare the two starters, if you still have the old one, for shaft length and bendix construction. Hope this helps!

Testimonial: "drallim, Everything checks out, cannot believe I've received 2 bad solenoids from NAPA. I had bought a new one and exchanged it because it seemed the switch was sticking. Still have not solved problem. Thank you for your time and efforts. Tim"

What is the most popular item goes bad when throw code po882 on a 2006 pt cruiser non turbo 2.4??

This is a code for the 12v relay supply to the transmission. Check the fuses in the underhood relay/fuse box to make sure none are blown causing this code. If all are ok, it will take electrical diagnostics to isolate the source of the problem by checking wiring/control module etc.

Blower motor not working. fuses appear to be ok. was working fine yesterday. any ideas?

Test the blower motor, turn on the switch and then with a test light conect it something that is grounded. Check for power at the harness, then connect the test light to the power side of the battery and test for grown at the harness if you have power and and ground replace the blower.

Briggs 12.5hp vanguard stopped n smoke at rear.

Its possible that the spark caused an in-line fuse to blow. Try following the wires from the battery to the ignition switch to the starter. There is probably at least one fuse in that path.

No running lights on my trailer.

Turn your headlights on and use a test light to check the harness on your vehicle to make sure you are getting power through the connection. If so, connect the trailer plug into your the trailer receptacle on your vehicle and cut probe through the correct wire after the harness. This will check to ensure you are getting fire through the conection. Always start at your vehicle and work to the trailer. If you are not getting power through the conection, check for a loose wire or replace connector... this is where you will find your problem more than likely. If you're getting power through your harness, you are loosing power between your plug and your lights. Probably a short in the wire. It will be easier to replace the wire instead of trying to locate the short. Good luck!!

Model 2780R intermittant Picture & Sound Failure

The set has loose power conections to the tuner and judging by the model it might have other loose conections in the chassis, the loose conections need to be resoldered and might not be easy to find, try taping the side of the set to see if it reacts while is doing the problem.Be safe and call a technician unless you are familiar with tv service.
