I have a vauxhall vectra
I got a security code for the radio 7980, but every time I try it it does not work.
I finally got the radio out and the info is on a sticker on top
Philips
No:09 181 229
Type: CCR 600
W8S made in germany
bar code serial numbers: 9022 214 06759 01 and 003 0020 1226672
the serial punched in is GM0600Y1226672
Possible that the garage had disconnected the battery terminals and so the radio has reset. You will need to check with the Vauxhall agency /dealership for the said codes or check up on your service book for the codes -- it will be normally written on your book. If not check the data base of the car in your dealership.
Hi I have just bought a car and it is in safe mode the car is a vauxhall vectra and the stereo is a delco electronic cdr 500 and serial no on it is gm0500t9120228 pls can you help me thanks Brian
Unfortunately the majority of SIEMENS/VDO codes (including your CDR2005) will NOT be available for free (or cheap) from anywhere on the Internet as access is required to the original factory database…which is not commercially available..
Try your Main Dealer or a Decoding Service or your local Car Radio / Audio Shop (who are normally the cheapest option) who will connect it to a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM)

the memory chip (EEPROM)
First make sure that the code has not been noted somewhere
within the car (underneath the ash tray, glove box , rear of sun visor etc)
To see if your code is available here for free then the radio will have to be
removed from the dashboard (and if you are lucky, someone may have written the
code on the casing ) .
If not then POST A NEW QUESTION
quoting the radio
MAKE+MODEL plus ALL the LETTERS+NUMBERS on ANY LABELS ,BARCODES or STAMPED IN
THE METAL CASING
Also quote the MAKE of CAR
note: Unfortunately not all radios can be decoded using the
Serial Number
Otherwise try your Main Dealer ...........or take it into a
Decode Service who will plug in a laptop to read/recode the memory chip
(EEPROM). This takes a few minutes and shouldn`t be too expensive
