You have to download them them from live or go to xbox.com and get a list of old games that work on 360

Hi,

Sorry, but there is no way to totally load an old Xbox game from a disc to the hard drive. The only thing that you can do is, in some cases, download old games from the Xbox Life Arcade, but that would require paying for them again.

X box 360 will not play 360 games Get standard page telling me if I wish to play game put in an x box 360 console. ??

Try cleaning the disc, making sure there isnt any dust on it or any scratches on the disc which can hinder the lens from recognising the disk, ive had this problem alot.

Xbox 360 Pro : To Play This Disk Error

Unfortunately , a new xbox360 game cant be played in a normal xbox (not xbox 360)

The problem is that the new xbox is way different on the inside than the original xbox is. Because it is way more powerful, you can put an old xbox game into a 360, and it will work fine (most of the time), but if you try the reverse there is no way to make it work.

Games won't work

the problem lies within your hard drive. first thing youll have to do is perform a matenince on the hard drive. to perform this you must go into settings, memory, select your hard drive, then enter the following code... LB LB X X RB RB... it will say are you sure you want tot perform this. select yes... when this is done and the games still dont work, you'll have to format your hard drive. and after youve done that and they still dont work, you'll then have to buy a new hard drive

X-Box 360

You may have to have a broadband internet connection to download the update or the game itself is not compatible. Microsoft did not make it so all Xbox games are compatible with the Xbox 360. Try looking up the games and see if they are playable on the 360.

Xx box 360

The laser going bad is a pretty common issue with the drives, since it's a Hitachi that spindle motor could be all gunked up with dirt as well and cause that issue also.
if ya have a Hitachi, if it's a Samsung it could just be the laser.
