Re: How to put x box games on to X box 360 hard disc
Sorry, but there is no way to totally load an old Xbox game from a disc to the hard drive. The only thing that you can do is, in some cases, download old games from the Xbox Life Arcade, but that would require paying for them again.

Try using your pc to format x box by hooking it with a usb cable. Open windows and right click my computer. Then click manage, select disc managment under storage heading.Wait for the window to load. Then look for unknown or not initialized disc.Right click left square area then click initialize disc.
Select mbr then ok.Windows should lable the disc unallocated.
Then right click the right rectanguler area of the x box hard drive and click new partition.Or format.
Unfortunately , a new xbox360 game cant be played in a normal xbox (not xbox 360)
The problem is that the new xbox is way different on the inside than
the original xbox is. Because it is way more powerful, you can put an
old xbox game into a 360, and it will work fine (most of the time), but
if you try the reverse there is no way to make it work.
the problem lies within your hard drive. first thing youll have to do is perform a matenince on the hard drive. to perform this you must go into settings, memory, select your hard drive, then enter the following code... LB LB X X RB RB... it will say are you sure you want tot perform this. select yes... when this is done and the games still dont work, you'll have to format your hard drive. and after youve done that and they still dont work, you'll then have to buy a new hard drive
You may have to have a broadband internet connection to download the update or the game itself is not compatible. Microsoft did not make it so all Xbox games are compatible with the Xbox 360. Try looking up the games and see if they are playable on the 360.
The laser going bad is a pretty common issue with the drives, since it's a Hitachi that spindle motor could be all gunked up with dirt as well and cause that issue also.
if ya have a Hitachi, if it's a Samsung it could just be the laser. http://www.llamma.com/xbox/Repairs/xbox_dvd_repair.htm
