Hi, My BOSE cd 6 changer was working fine on Sunday in my 2004 Mazda6. Yesterday however it wanted a code entering, which is odd because the battery has never been disconnected. I entered the correct 4 digit code but it did not work. I did this 3 times and now I get an Err flashing message, which means the antitheft device has kicked in. I disconnected the battery and the aerial for 35mins in the hope it would reset the unit but I still get the Err flashing message. I also checked the fuse (number 34 and this is 15A and was fine). Do you have any ideas why the code was required when the power was not disconnected? And what I can do next to get the unit working again or has it gone completely faulty and needs to be replaced?

The need to enter the code could be because of a brief loss of power to the unit, this could even be due to jump starting/ low battery power while starting or bad battery earth connection!

The err message is because you entered the wrong code more than once.......to get back to the screen to enter the correct code you will have to leave the power to the unit on for anything from half an hour to a few hours! But you will need to make sure you have the correct security code or you will block the radio and it can only be unlocked by an audio specialist and will probably cost more than the unit itself.

You can get the correct code for a small fee by contacting this link: Car radio codes in Uxbridge London Gumtree

SOURCE: Have Blaupunkt Cd changer attached

turn it on after turning on the motor ...and press the AS(or turn on cd player pressing this button on ) and hold to enter the code..or ..if you are already at that part the trick is that it has only 4 number buttons ..so each button is assigned to one digit in the code..
ex for the first digit ..press the number one as many times as the digit is ..
to type 2468 for example press no 1 for 2 times..the no 2 for 4 times ..and so on ..
each time you press a position it will be the number needed in that position ...
I hope I didnt made a mess with your senses....

The sound output from my 6 disc changer in my mazda6 isn't working.

Check in the back of the receiver, I had this same problem and it was because the output cable had come unplugged. Take out the CD Changer, and check to make sure all of the wiring in the back is secure. You will want to test the CD changer before you put it back in the dash.

CD player is not working.

I would first try removing the fuse to the radio/cd player, see if that resets the system and get the cd out.

Hope this helps some.

Sorry, the radio has the VIN number of the vehicle it was removed from stored in it, it can only be cleared by using a GM Tech 2 and performing a VIN relearn.
