When I upgrade the PCMCIA card from 802.11b to 802.11g in my RCA DCW615R modem, the wireless is no longer recognized. Comcast does not have a firmware upgrade for this. RCA defers to my cable provider. Does anyone know how to resolve this?
Thanks in advance.

I have firmware version
ST49.04.0Bc, which will not recognize the 802.11g PCMCIA card. I can log onto the router, but the "wireless" tab disappears, while it was present with the 802.11b card.
Any help would be appreciated!!!

You can have comcast allow you to log in using the new firmware at 192.168.0.1. You will need the user name and password from them. This will alow you into the firmware so you can change settings, including the PCMCIA card.
