Yg2800i generator runs for about 5 minutes and then stalls

Put a new fuel filter on it and when it stalls take the fuel line off the carburetor to check if gas is getting to the carburetor. If it is remove the sparkplug put the wire on it and ground the nut of the plug on the engine block and pull the cord and check for spark between the sparkplug gap. If no spark you might have a faulty coil, when it gets hot it has no spark.

What type/size sparkplug should I use in my ef2500 yamaha gas generator?

The Yamaha EF2500 portable generator uses a NGK spark plug #BPR6HS. Just bought on this week at the local NAPA store to replace the old spark plug in my generator.

Model pm0542000 01 coleman generator needs spark plug

This particular generator can come with Briggs & Stratton engine (spark plugs recomended will be then Champion RC12YC).

This model can come as well with Honda engine or with Subaru engine.

These variation depend on country of manufacture.

As I do not know where are you located, I give you this which is known to me, if you have Honda or Subaru engine, my best bet will be follow this advice:

1. stop engine
2. undo spark plug and note what alhanumerics are on porcelain bit, eventually grab the sparkplug and go to closest fuel station/car spares/hardware/camping store and they will be able to tell you what sparkplug and even sell you one.

Hope this will solve your problem :-)

I Have a pro force 6000 that has no spark at the

First check and see if you have any cracks on the cable then replace the sparkplug with new one but make sure that the setting the correct one…before you do this you may try a test but you must be very careful…No kids around, clear place outdoors, etc .
After checking, the cables unscrew the sparkplug and put very small amount of gas in then put back the sparkplug “the same one” and see if you get a sound as backfire if yes that mean it is working good. That should take care of it…let me know and again be very careful and not too much gas

I have a lawnmower with a BSA 3.5 engine that I cannot start, the problem seems to be no spark at the spark plug. As I have never worked on a lawnmower I have no idea what generates the spark on...

Test for spark by placing a screwdriver into the spark plug wire and holding it close to a bolt on the engine. should see a spark (blue). If not, problem is likely the armature (coil). The coil is located under the engine shroud and held in place by two bolts. If you replace this part, (normally $30 to $40) you must ensure a proper air gap. Auto parts stores have inexpensive repair manuals to help.

How to choose the right spark plug for my bike?

only a handful will work with the motorcycle engine you own. Also different brands (NGK, Bosch, DENSO, Champion, Esc) will work better on different types of engines. As a general rule of thumb, use the sparkplug your manufacturer recommends for your motorcycle (same brand and part number). Unfortunately some spark plugs are very specific to a type of engine and make only for that engine such as the NGK ME8 for $34 per sparkplug, compared to the normal price of $3 per sparkplug.
