when you say wi fi this phone uses EVDO for its data connection. This is a 3g mobile data service for cdma phone networks so you need to turn on mobile data
You may need to call your provider and make sure that this feature is in your price plan..and they can tell you how to send a message on your particualr model. Press *2 for customer care or dial 1-800-639-6111. Hope this helps ya!
I have the same problem. I called Sprint and they said the only way to get rid of the recent text message contacts is to completely erase the incoming calls you have. Don't know if that includes locked ones, too, but I'm trying it now (I have one locked message). Will let you know.
If you call customer care or possibily tech support you can request text messages that were sent or received, and there is a fee for that I just dont know how much.
