SOURCE: VFD-B inverter control with external volume like switch

You better buy a multi turn potentiometer about 4,7 - 5,1 kOhm.

Connect its ends to "+10 V" and "ACM". The Slider connect to "AVI".

The multi turn pot can make small steps of adjustment.

Hope that it will help.

SOURCE: DELTA INVERTER VFD-B PROGRAM HAS BEEN LOCK

First thee attempts will "lock" you out. you must restart drive to allow 3 more tries. If you can't get to programming funcitons to change password you should be able to connect via serial connection and reset the password funcitons to 0. See attached pdf file for directions to connect pc to drive: http://www.delta.com.tw/product/em/control/cm/download/manual/IFD9507_application_en.pdf

If you don't have your manual to expalin password functions you can also find it at:http://www.delta.com.tw/product/em/download/download_main.asp?act=2&pid=1&cid=1

We had a Delta vfd037b23a running a fan (we only use it to change the speed) and it was 3 phase input and only drawing 7.5 amps (max is 17). We have moved and no longer have 3 phase line power, we do have...

To cut down on power usage, look into either purchasing or trading for a smaller three phase inverter.

Or the best choice for you is to get a VFD that runs off either single or three phase so that you can move it about at will (to single or three phase set ups).

As for hurting the VFD by using it in the overpowered but underused mode, not likely.
