Polto steam cleaner 2100/2400 yellow, the on switch will not click on so the water does not heat up. The orange light comes on when i press the on switch but goes off and the button comes back up as soon as i let go. Any ideas will be gratefully received.

It is more likely that the thermostat is not working than the element to have gone. needs stripping and checking then the faulty part to be replaced

i have a 950 and it does not heat up any more . the red light comes on but thats it

Put a couple of lts. of water in the tank, replace lid, assemble hose with tool you require. Plug in switch on, wait for needle to climb into yellow then pull trigger for steam

Hi i've had the same problem Put a phial of Kal stop into 1000 or 1500ml of water into the tank, let it heat up and it should break down the limescale of the solenoid. It's worked for me. Have a good evening;-)

Hi you need to put 5ml of Kal Stop fo Polti machines into 1000/1500ml of water into the tank, The stronger solution is better (1000ml) Let it heat up and this should break down the limescale on the solenoid. I tried this today and it has worked saving ££££'s in repair by Polti.
