SOURCE: removing seat cover

Dorel Juvenile Group manufactures these car seats for under the Cosco brand. You should check out their web site.

  • Check out the recall notices and make sure your seat is not listed.
  • Register your car seat so that you are informed of any future recalls.
There does not seem to be any Manuals on their website, but they do list a phone number. 1-800-544-1108

When I took mine apart I did the following.
  • Take many pictures of it first so you can see how it goes back together.
  • Put all of the parts in a container so you don't lose any.
  • Start by removing the screws on the headrests. There are four of them.
  • Using a flat screwdriver on the left side and a pair of pliers on the right (as you are facing it) pull the metal rod from the hinge to the right. Make sure you don't damage the springs.
  • The screwdriver can be used to gently pry the square metal strap anchor from the plastic holder. It is tight!
  • Then fish the anchor through the seat and fabric.
  • The shoulder straps have to go from the front through the fabric.
  • There is a front clip that is located between the child's legs. I had to finesse the fabric cover around this.
I think that is all I did. We washed the cover in COLD water on delicate and soaked it overnight to get it clean. Hang dry!

SOURCE: removing seat cover maxi cosi priorifix

Peel the cover from around the seat frame so that the shoulder strap hold the cover on to the seat. Extend the set belts to their maximum length and recline the seat as far as possible. Looking at the seat from the front, put your hand in the gap between the reat of the seat (bit that reclines) and the fromt of the fixed base (by the red dome and the instructions). On the bit of the seat that reclines there is a 'door' that opens to reveal a metal clasp that the ends of the shoulder straps fix to at the top and the **** belt at the bottom. Unhook the looks from the shoulder straps from the metal clasp. Pull the shoulder straps through the back of the seat upright. You can now pull them through the cover which is free for you to was. A great design hey ! Good Luck.

Hi

Maxi-Cosi do not produce the adapters for the carseat to be used with Mamas & Papas chassis. Adapters would be designed, tested, approved and sold from Mamas & Papas. If the adapters do not fit the carseat they need to investigate this for you. The CabrioFix carseat is only one model and regardless of date of manufacture all Maxi-Cosi adapters for CabrioFix are the same. (For using Maxi-Cosi carseat on Maxi-Cosi pushchair chassis)
