Laptop not importing pictures-on camera there is message "usb mode connecting" from the last one hour
Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as iPhoto, Windows Photo Gallery, and Picasa.
Hi,
Please follow the steps below for connecting the
Camera to the Computer for transferring the images.
Turn the Camera ON.
Turn the Computer ON.
Make sure to Insert the
Memory Stick in the Camera.
Set the USB CONNECT option in the Setup 2 Menu of the Camera to PTP.
[Set the Mode dial of the Camera to Camera, press the Menu button, select SETUP-->SETUP2-->USB
CONNECT-->PTP-->OK.]
Connect the Camera to
the Computer using the supplied USB cable.
The Computer will
automatically install the USB Driver for the Camera.
When the installation
completes, an AutoPlay window will
appear.
In the AutoPlay window, click the Import Pictures option.
In the Importing Pictures and Videos window, click the Import button.
If the USB connection
from the camera is not recognized by the computer, disconnect the USB cable and
repeat changing the USB CONNECT
option to PictBridge, Mass Storage or Auto.
If the issue persists,
try connecting to a different USB port on the Computer.
Try re-installing the
USB Driver from the Device Manager.
Good Luck!
