Touch screen not working

I am unable to use my touch screen on my fone. even when i press the touch screen nothing registers with the fone help plz

    I to have the same issue. It occured to me to try the update feature online, however this is not possible as the I need the touch screen to engage with the update feature on the PC Suite software. any ideas. thx

    i have the k850i and if i press the star or down button the middle touch button gets presssed down aswell automaticlly at the same time.

    i dont know what wrong with the keypad???

    please help me if u think you know what the problem is.

    this problem do occurs and sometimes i have to restart my phone...sometimes juz have to press the directional buttons for times thenit will turn ok(but 4awhile only)

Im no expert, but i had the same problem last year, i was advised to install an update i found on the ericsson website, this seemed to solve the problem, although the problem arose again after a few months, at which stage i traded 4 a new one with my provider.

Htc touch, touch screen not working
The touchscreen is a thinlike mylar sheet that overlays the screen. Once damaged, all you can do it get it replaced. To verify if the touchscreen is "smashed", try using the thumbwheel or up and down buttons. If you can move around the display, then this means the touchscreen is damaged but will not prevent you from using your device, that is, until you turn it in for repair/replacement.

LG viewty Touchscreen problems
I have the same problem. But i had solved it. I use a lighter to burn on my viewty's touch screen, and it is working properly again within 30 secs. And ofcourse, do not burn the touch screen without a screen protector. Hope this solution would help.
