Some of the keys on my Compaq PP2140 laptop, is there a setting that got changed?

Possibly bad memory or hard drive.

i would try a boot sector repair/ f-8 upon boot then repair

go to compaq.com support they'll ask for your model number operating system xp or vista or windows 7. If its xp they have the driver download available all though I doubt if you need it unless you just installed the xp os. To answer your question yes it does if its ap 2140 there is no pp2140 that i saw.

Try to press F8 on boot and "Safe mode" boot

No it cant be reused...

I think you sould check your batteru first.

• Remove your battery from lap.
• Add power card to lap.
• Make on without battery.
• If it works, then you need to replace the battery or you can chek your lap with another battery, if it fixe your problem. Then you should replace the battery.

yeah they are right, and i don't think they are acutally compatible

Leave the battery out and try booting up on ac power only.
