1. Plug in the power cord.
2. Plug in the optical cable from your TV to your sound bar.
3. Turn on your TV.
4. Turn on your Soundbar.
5. Check the audio on your soundbar and make sure it's set to the right input.

There are no codes available for a 6.4 remote on a Vizio Soundbar. Below are the steps to Power Scan the remote control. This will search all codes 1 by 1 until it finds a code that works, or exhausts all available codes.


Power Scan:

1.) With the Soundbar on, press and hold the AUX mode button (about six seconds) on top of the remote until all mode button backlights come on, then release.

2.) Press 2 then press STAR (*)

3.) Press the Up arrow button once a second while pointing the remote at the Soundbar. If the code for the Soundbar comes up, it will power off.

4.) Press the POUND (#) button. If the code entered is valid for the remote, the mode light flashes three times. To verify the code works try several different functions for that equipment.

Not knowing anything about YOUR receiver, you MIGHT be able to draw digital audio out somewhere. Analog audio would be available at any Tape Output. Your receiver

I'm sorry to tell you but your sound bar isn't supported by your Directv remote - at least not officially. Your only remaining option is to perform a code scan (as explained in the manual), maybe another set of codes will match for the basic commands: on/ff and volume up/down.

Here are the remote code for some Vizio
505, 627, 775, 758, 756, 885, 864
If these do not work you will have to contact Dish to upgrade you receiver unit to respond to the newest code for your remote or use the remote that came with you unit to control it.
