Wheels spinning in opposite directions

Santa just brought my kid one of these and we took it out this morning and when he pressed the accelerator the back wheels spinned in opposite directions. I know this model has a "differential" type of rear axle but with him sitting in it on flat ground i think it should work. Any ideas?

The polarity is reversed on one of the motors, if the gear selecter is in low or high gear the wheels should propell the vehicle forward, whichever wheel is not propelling the vehicle forward switch the wires around on the motor

SOURCE: wheel spinning / traction issue on toy gator

First off, keep in mind that there are reasons why they make the wheels of this slipper plastic - like reducing the risk of burning out the motor. That said, you know those rubber pedal extenders for infants (the things that come with 2 wooden blocks and a large rubber band, they 'may' be big enough to stretch around your wheels. Also have a look around for LEGO rubber tracks. There are some out there that may be large enough as well. Check here.

SOURCE: Rear wheels-

Both wheels should spin in 2nd gear. Only one wheel may spin in 1st, but if you put a little pressure on the one wheel that spins it should make the other wheel start spinning.
But both wheels should spin in high gear at the same time.
Hope this helps. If there is more help you can also ask these guys at this website. http://www.shopjandl.com/ I get my parts from them and they seem to also work on them as well

The battery seems to be bad. I get my Peg Perego Batteries at http://www.shopjandl.com/
My batteries last about 3 to 5 years, as long as my kids are charging them up each time they go down.
Hope this helps

SOURCE: gator lt wheel doesn't turn when in grass/ slips easily and need

You could try new wheels if those are worn. Otherwise, Google "Gator Traction Bands"- an aftermarket company that makes bands just for these wheels.

If you need the tires, we can help.

Changed front end parts, front diff fell out . now back together and front wheels spinning opposite of rear wheels.

Drive it on the ground. See what happens. On a lift the tires can and do spin in opposite direction.

You could have a bad differential or transfer case.

Jack up all 4 wheels, spin one rear wheel with it in gear, the other should spin in the opposite direction, do the same for the front. If they spin OK, take it out of gear, now spin BOTH rear wheels, if they won't, you might have a bad transfer case.

Why do the wheels run backwards?

the spray bar nozzles can be adjusted to spin the head clockwise or counter clockwise if the wheels run backward rotate the nozzles so the water pressure turns the head in the opposite direction which will then drive the wheels in the opposite direction..

Are you suppose to be able to move the tub around when you open the door?

Front load washing machine? If it is it depends on what you mean by move the tub around, if it is just spinning then they do this as the drums do not lock when stopped, if you mean there is excess movement on the inner drum then you can check this by holding your hands at opposite sides of the drums just inside the door opening, locate the outer drum at the rear of the door seal and press your fingers against it and with the other hand press the inner drum in the opposite direction. If movement is felt between the 2 drums when pressed in opposite directions then the drum bearings may have failed or the spider shaft may have broken.

When on soft dirt or gravel, engage the 4wd. From a stop position, accelerate quickly to spin the tires. Inspect your starting position for spin marks. There should be marks in the dirt or gravel on opposite sides from front to rear. The rear may have two marks depending on limited slip or posi rear end.

Our Nelson tractor sprinkler is going backwards! How do we correct this?

You need to aim the rotary arms in the opposite direction. If the spray pattern is spinning clockwise, then you need to make it spin counter-clockwise or vice-versa. You do this by adjusting each of the 2 arms 180 degrees so that the jet stream spurts right instead of left (or left instead of right). Remember, the spray arms are connected to a gear box, and the gear box turns the wheels. Your wheels are moving in the wrong direction because the gears are moving in the wrong direction because the spray arms are spinning in the wrong direction because they are aimed in the wrong direction.

My John Deere traveling sprinkler is moving backwards all of a sudden. How do I get it to go forwards

The wheels are driven by the spinning of the water wand. Turning the tips so the wand spins either clockwise or counter clockwise will determine which direction your sprinkler will travel. If it's going backwards, turn the tips so the wand spins in the opposite direction it is spinning now.

Hi, well with both wheels off ground, they will turn opposite directions when you turn one of the wheels even in park. now if engine is running and you put it into gear and the driveshaft turns but not the wheels, then someone stole the guts out of your rear end.
