I got a radio from the wreckers, got the code but when I turn the key on, the screen stays blank and the red light next to the word disk is flashing, what does this mean and can I fix it?

pop a disc in see what you get
screen should power up

wonder if the wiring is incorrect
should have a power constant and a power ign ,earth
speakers pos & neg ... arial if fitted

My tv will not turn on. it shows the sleeping red light and sometimes will turn blue but the picture and sound will not turn on? what's going on?

your tv has a bad power supply module. with the model and serial number look it up on ebay, they are like $60. buy a new one and replace it.

Why is the blue light on front blinking

My answer is based on the model number here-AV-56WP74 or similar--blue light blinking is shutdown to protect the power supply in the set.

A few questions you could answer:

before this happened was screen red (too much) or had colors skewed or a little 3d looking?

The most common issue on this set if that is convergence and it can easily escalate to where it shuts the set down and blue blinks constant.

There is a simple way to confirm or deny that issue--Got someone willing to try that? Set will be unplugged and entire front grill under screen removed to try it(I can tell you how and what to do)

Hi, my television is still not repaired 32lg7000-za when pluged in the mains, after a few attempts the power light turns from red to blue, a blue light flashes on the inverter board set responds...

Good day!!!

If the output voltage of the power supply is complete and no voltage drop....

It means the main board/system board is not function/initialized...In that case the processor i.c is defective but the i.c is very sensitive and difficult to replace so its not for D.I.Y...

In that case the only way to fix it is to buy/order a new system/main board that compatible to your brand and model..

Audiovox: cd micro system for iPod. model# CD6229i: red standby light is on but blue display screen stays blank and no buttons work.

push the standby button and it should turn on the blue display should light up brighter make sure the speakers are pluged through the back and change the button that says source.. and change it too fm radio you should hear the static. hope this helps

When we turn it on none of the rings light up green or red. The center light is green. The only thing we get is a blue screen on the TV.

make sure every thing is pluged in, including controllers and important cords, make sure electricals have power

I made a mistake and had my av and hdmi cords pluged into my tv and ps3 at the same time. The screen turned red. I got scared and had put my finger over the power button for five seconds now I have a blank...

Turn the system off then turn it back on and keep holding the power button , when you hear the system beep let go watch the light blink or look for any changes on the screen display, if no change in screen yet turn off and back on again. If no change i would advice that you get it contact with Sony and consider getting a replacement.

Check the backlight inverter board to your TV. This is a common fault for most of the LCD TVs. If it is faulty, the backlight won't light up, resulting a balck screen with sound.

Surely there is a short circuit inside the circuit board. The most common fault is the short circuit witth backlight inverter board. If any short circuit deteced by the main system control IC, it will shut down the power supply secondary voltage. and there will be a standby light ON, indicating the power inverter board is OK. Check the backlight inverter baord for short circuit. If you haven't any idea about the electronic circuit, you can't do anything with this fault to your TV. If you have sound knoledge in electronics, and have some expereince to do the work, inform me. I'll assist you. But you must have the ability to follow me. OK.
