Yes the nuvi 265W will connect to your phone for handsfree calling, to do so go into the tools menu > select settings > bluetooth from here you will be able to sync your bluetooth compatible phone.
Have you tried to re-pair it with your phone? What does the bluetooth firmware version show up as on your Nuvi? If it says 0.0, you need to reflash the bluetooth firmware. You can find the firmware version by selecting the wrench icon, then sekect the gear symbol and then select "About". Use Garmin's webupdater and connect your Nuvi to the PC and let the webupdater reflash yoour Nuvi. Garmin just updated the bluetooth firmware on November of 08 to v3.4 so you would want to do it anyway. When you reflash, you have to repair the phone to the Nuvi because the reflash erases your phone setup.
gps needs a connection to the internet to work.
Iphone bluetooth is very limited.
If you are talking about gps like car gps and connecting it to the iphone through bluetooth, then you will need to update your firmware on your gps and hope that they added the iphone to that firmware.
I cant see why not these days
If you have tried to connect from the unit and from the phone, and neither finds the other, or they won't connect, it is possible the phone may not be compatible with the unit. Not all Bluetooth devices are compatible. Your best bet would be to go to Garmin's website and check the C550 for compatible phones and see if yours is listed.
