Depending on your model and setting it may be a little to light for the flash to work.
You should be able to set it to flash at all times if you need it to when the light is to weak.
Go into your menu and find flash and set it to full time.

It is possible that you have the camera on an inappropriate setting. For example, if you are outside during the day and your camera is set to AUTO, there is little chance for the flash to go off because the camera doesn't need the extra light. If you want to force your camera to flash, set it to a mode other than AUTO and then turn on the flash. Good luck!

Hello

The problem is that the lens has become stuck in the barrel. There are some DIY solutions you could try, but the probability is that you will have to get it fixed by a professional.

Use these at own risk as it may further damage the camera.

Firstly , try connecting your ac adapter or usb cable.

Try holding the shutter button while switching on the camera.

Look at the lens , and if some of the lens 'circles' is misaligned or not concentric then try wiggling it (while holding camera lens down).

Try gently pushing or pulling the lens when it extends but this is risky as it may cause the lens barrel to slip out of its guidance system.

Another way to do this is to place the camera lens down on a hard surface and then power it up. Be sure to use a soft cloth or something similar as to not scratch your lens or casing. Let the lens push the camera up and down a few times and sometimes the little resistance provided by the camera is enough to get things going again.

Try hitting your camera near the lens on the body with the soft tissue on the palm of your hand.

Other than that , I would take the camera to a repair center for a evaluation to see if it would cost more to repair than to replace the camera.

If it is still under warranty I would suggest you take it in before trying any of these steps and remove any off-brand batteries or accessories as some stores are really fussy about warranty repairs on camera's with non-brand accessories.

Hope the advise is useful. please do not hesitate to let me know if you need any further assistance.

Regards
Andrea

How do i stop the flash popping up on a canon eos 350d even when taking a photo outside in bright light...I am using the auto setting

Try using the "no flash" setting. It is still completely auto, it just won't fire a flash. It is the setting that looks like boxy "no sign" over a lighting blot on the settings dial, it is also the last setting.

Hope this helps!

The sutter on my camera wont open plz email me at [email protected] on how to fix this

There is notheing that can be done from the outside. hence you will need to seek help from a camera service centre or the best from the authorised Canon service . Your Shutter mechanism and the drive electronics must be checked which requires experience. Hope you do accordingly. Good day

I STARTED RECEIVING AND ERR O5 AND MY CAMERA WAS DELAYING ON POWERING UP AND THEN ONE DAY IT JUST NEGLECTED TO POWER UP... PLZ HELP I MISS MY CAMERA!!!!

Err 05 mean that the flash cannot popup. Try to help the flash to pop up when you press the flash button on the front of the camera.
If that works, clean the flash unit from dust and smear or whatever is blocking the flash from popping up.
If your camera is not powering up anymore then there might be a fuse blown inside the camera because of the failing flash.

Canon Powershot A75 Flash Problem

If it is a malfunctioning unit, you may qualify for an upgrade through Canon rather than going out and buying a new one, paying full price, you can get a deep discount through their loyalty program. Give them a call to set your camera up for service and the service technician once they have your camera will let you know if you qualify for the program and which camera you will qualify for and how much it will cost.

Hope this helps!
