Use add/remove programs in contol panel and select microsoft office and then uninstall .when you select uninstall it will ask you to uninstall,repair.So use repair...this should resolve the issue.

Down load the free program @ openoffice.org You can create there and it will open on MS Office Al though MS office needs to be set to save in an older version to open MS files on Open Office. Or just go buy the program, Open office is free I have MS Office However I have turned Many of my friends and relatives on to Open office there are several other programs besides word there is an Excell and a Power Point style of programs also, I believe. I would use if had not already bought the real deal.

The Product key or serial key is the license you receive when you purchase Office 2007 or any Microsoft software.
You probably were using the trial version of the software. You have to buy Office to get a Product Key.

You can manually locate Microsoft Publisher when going to the "open with" dialog. Follow the steps below:
Right click on a Publisher file.
Choose "Open With..."
Choose "Choose Default Program..."
A dialog box will open. There is a list of programs at the top.
Near the bottom of the dialog box, there should be a link that says "Browse..." Click it.
You need to locate the Microsoft Publisher Program. For Office 2010, it should be at:
x86: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office 14\MSPUB.exe x64: C:\Program FIles (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office 14\MSPUB.exe
7. Click once on the file and choose "Open"
8. Check the box called "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file"
9. Confirm your selections and click "OK" at the bottom of the dialog box.
