Hi check the power supply unit first, if those output voltages are present and no voltage drop, which supply the mother board as will as for the hard drive. if power supply failure it will not continue to reboot the system. removed the power supply then repair it, however you can replaced with new refurbished power supply unit. hope this will help thanks for using the fixya good day.

You did something wrong!
Set to boot from the CD as the first boot device or you can press F12 and select boot from CD, you will have to press any key when it displays "Boot from CD"
I hope this helped.
Good luck and have a pleasent day.

How can i change boot sequence of my desktop

You have to change the boot order at the bios settings. Just after the screen comes up, before windows start up press (repeatly) the F2 key (depending on the model, maybe F1 or del key) and go to the boot sequence. Here change the boot order as you wish.

Desktop won't complete boot

Open up the desktop and replace your CMOS battery, or atleast test it and see if the re-booting stops. If not and you have your XP installation disc you may have to do a system repair, start your pc with disc in and press enter when prompted, but make sure that your cd drive is set up as first boot in the bios.
