I have a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500. My Dome, 2 reading lights, radio stopped working, does anyone know if there is something that ties all these together? I had put something in the glove box and pushed it up against the glove box light ( which didnt work before, so didnt know where it was). After that all the lights and the radio stopped working, the lighted mirrors are out also, but every other light works just fine. The lights on the stock radio work, but no power to the radio itself. If anyone has any info please email me at [email protected] Thanks

The fuse for the interior lights has a yellow plastic holder
covering it. Full the holder all the way out, fuse and all, with a needle nose pliers.
Replace the fuse. Disconnect the power to the radio you put in before you do this. Replace with new fuse. Check lights. If light work, plug in radio. If fuse blows, radio connection is bad (grounded hot wire). Fix wiring, replace fuse, and try again.
You could also have messed up the multi-function switch
(turn signal switch). EVERYTHING go's through this piece of crapo switch, and it costs a fortune to replace. Do the wiggle test on the switch, wiggle it while trying the things that do not work, front to back of truck, NOT up and down like your turning the switch on, the opposite way, front to back of truck. If things flassh off & on that stopped working, yopu found the problem. DONT pusy too hard, push gently on end of stalk, there is a lot of leverage there!

2001 chevy malibu dome light not working cant find the right fuse and power mirrors not working either

Dome light runs off the interior fuse. Dash, radio and others also. If the work, could be a bad bulb, switch or wire. Mirrors power comes from the master switch. Could be the mirror switch or mirror motors. If both quit working at the same time, look to the switch. If they died separately, After time. Replace the mirror assembly if you want them to work. They can be adjusted by hand.Push on the mirror.

I have a 2004 durango. The power mirrors, power locks, interior lights and alarm control all stopped working. Can someone help??

1st im sure the alarm stopped working because the power locks dont work (feedback issue) next on some models water from rain or car washes gets down inisde doors and shorts out electric devices in door , with that many things out im sure your gonna find a fuse blown in your panel , but i'll further bet that new fuse will go again next rain as well .

The power mirrors, interior light, and stereo does

There is a module built into the instrument panel that controls the interior lights. If that thing goes bad, you have to replace the entire instrument panel. Everyone always says check the fuses, of course you would have done that before running to your computer to ask a stranger what to do! The instrument panel is expensive, I hope thats not your problem, thats my problem. Good luck.

My side mirros dont work

The exterior mirrors:
  • are controlled by power controls on the LH front door trim panel.
  • are of a foldaway design.
  • may contain turn signal indicators.
  • may be heated when the heated back window glass is activated.
  • may have a programmable recall memory option.
Driver Seat Module
The power driver seat and power exterior mirrors are controlled by the driver seat module (DSM) only when the vehicle is equipped with the programmable/recall memory option.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Power Exterior Mirror Operation
The power exterior mirrors are controlled by the DSM and are operational all the time, whether the ignition switch is on or off. Using the power exterior mirror switch, the driver can adjust the driver and passenger exterior mirrors four ways.
-----------------------------------------------------
Visual Inspection Chart Mechanical Electrical

  • Interior mirror
  • Central junction box (CJB) fuse
  • Circuitry

  1. If the vehicle is equipped with memory exterior mirrors and the concern remains after the inspection, connect the diagnostic tool to the data link connector (DLC) located beneath the instrument panel. Select the vehicle to be tested from the diagnostic tool menu.
    • Check to make sure the program card is correctly installed.
    • Check the connections to the vehicle.
    • Check the ignition switch position.
