After copying 3.4 Gbyte or about 600 jpeg's to my Imation flashdrive 2.0 (4Gbyte) using my Apple Mac OS 10.5.8, I formally ejected the drive and inserted it into our Vista Windows machine. The Vista machine did not recognise the drive as being formatted and on returning to my Mac, the flashdrive would not show-up any more in the Finder file manager. The iMac's disk utility registered the flashdrive as only having 1Mbyte (not 4Gbyte). What should I do to to get the flashdrive working??? Regards, Mark

Plug the flash drive into the windows PC first and open "Computer". Find the drive and format it to Fat32 or NTFS. Now plug it into the mac and copy the pictures too it. Now your Windows computer should see the files. Mac will default to making the flash drive use HFS+ filesystem. Windows doesn't recognize this format at all. Mac will see fat32 and ntfs just fine though.

How do eject disc from my mac os x

Every Mac that has an optical drive has an eject key on the keyboard. Pressing the eject key will eject a CD or DVD.

The eject key has this icon on it: ?

You can also right-click on the disk icon, then choose "Eject" from the pop-up menu.

You can also click once on the disk icon, then choose "Eject" from the File menu.

You can also drag the icon to the Trash icon in the dock.

The eject key will only eject CDs and DVDs, but all of the other methods described above will also unmount other media types, like a hard drive or flash drive connected via USB, FireWire, or Thunderbolt.

My mac book has got a cd stuck in the disk drive, but the computer isn't registering it. i think its in upside down, and ji have tried all of the solutions form the help, but none of them...

You don't say which version of the Mac OS you're using, so I'll assume OS-X. Control-click the iTunes icon in the Dock, choose Force Quit, and then try ejecting the CD from the Finder or Disk Utility.

Or

Reboot and hold down the trackpad bar mouse button

I need driver for imation apollo external HDD, where could i find free driver for this?

External Hard Drives generally do not need drivers. If the hard drive came with 2 usbs, then plug them both in. Your drive maay require more power to work properly. Again you may need two USB port to power it as 1 single USB does not carry that much power with it.

Mac OS X 10.4 Installation problem

If your computer ejects the Mac OS X 10.4 Installation DVD, it means that there's a good chance that your Mac doesn't have an Apple internal DVD drive or an Apple SuperDrive, you'll need Mac OS X 10.4 Install CDs.

If your mac is unable to read the CD or ejects it also, there's something wrong with your DVD\CD drive.
