My nokia n97 cannot send text messages at all. Message centre is correct and all other txt/messaging settings are correct but i still can't send text they remain in my outbox resending every three minutes and fails every time it tries to send text msg...pls help..

it happens may be your sim message centre is wrong.see it in your txt message settings and ask the service provider for correct message centre no.

Open the Message menu.In the message menu go to the Inbox settings from thr options. In option menu you will find the option settings. In settings choose the text message. In text message centre you will find Message Centres.Then go to the SMS Centre and chenge the number.

every network has centre number, so please go and look there.
go to messages, on your left select (options), select (setting) then (text message) select( message centres) choose your network supplier or just look sms centre 1. then put your message centre number if its empty or using wrong number.

for sending text messages :
1.go to your message settings and check the message center number to see if it is correct
2. call to your network operator customer care
3. request the message center number...
4.note it down
5. go to message settings>message center number
6. insert the number which is noted by you and save it
this solves your messaging problem ...

I think when you send text message it says message failed...right..???

This is because there is option in your mobile called as message service centre number.please check weather this number is correct.Call your service provider and you can get this number.

And also there is an option called as reply via same message centre please put this to 'NO'. now you can send messages

To go to this options please check follow these steps....
1.open 'menu'
2.open 'messages'
3.Go to 'message settings'
4.in that open 'text message'
5.there is an option called as 'message centre',please entre your new message centre number and save it. set this as your message centre
6.Check the option 'reply via same centre' and please put it to 'NO'

Make sure that your phone have the correct message centre number. This can be found in the message settings. If the message centre is removed or blank but found the number and you are not sure about it then you need to obtain the correct one from your phone service provider. Just call there customer service hotline and ask for the centre number.
