Can't install adobe flash player it is telling me to turn of my internet explorer

Things they don't tell you

When installing the newest version of Adobe Flash Player, it will NOT automatically uninstall the old version.

If the old version is still there, the new version will not install.

Fun stuff, huh?

Use the Adobe Flash Player Uninstaller tool.

Go down to -
1. Download the uninstaller for Flash Player,
and click on the blue - uninstaller (674KB)

A small window will come up on the Right -
Opening uninstall_flash_player.exe
Click on Save File.

Another small window will come up on the left. (Download window)
After the file has fully downloaded, DOUBLE-click on it.
Click on Next, Next, and Finish.

Run the tool.
When finished restart your computer if not asked to do so.
Now go here,

Yes, install McAfee Security Scan Plus, ya-da, ya-da.
Removes the green checkmark.
McAfee bl-ows, and just slows your computer down anyway ]

I'm different. I use Mozilla Firefox. Don't care for Chrome, and sure don't care for Internet Explorer.

The downloader is having problems using it's peer to peer method of downloading the full install, you need to download the regular installer that doesn't use peer to peer.

For internet explorer = http://www.adobe.com/go/full_flashplayer_win_ie
For other browsers = http://www.adobe.com/go/full_flashplayer_win

go to control panel
uninstall all the adobe applications from add/remove programes
then check the add on's in internet explorer
if there are any addon's remove that
restart the computer
install a fresh copy of flash player from www.adobe .com
it will work

crash report----send restart the browser if there's nothing happen that's right time to visit firefox support team or forum

Try reinstalling it. :)

I believe the internet explorer got corrupted. Try firefox internet explorer because it is a portable internet explorer not included in your operating system.

Make sure you're using the latest version of your web browser. Try turning off any ad blocking or noscripting addons or extensions you may have on. Try using a different browser like Google's Chrome which has good support for modern web pages. This will at least tell you if its a problem with your browser or computer/network. If you're on a school or work network facebook might be blocked.

Internet Explorer is telling you that the content *MAY* be malicious, not that it *IS* malicious. Click "allow" to install the Adobe Flash Player.

You may have to tell Internet Explorer that it is ok to install it. Look for a message bar near the top of your screen next time you download it.
