I get an error code of 0x00053005-0 when I try to burn a movie to dvd using 123 copy gold dvd program, any ideas. This happens when I use a -r dvd, +r works great but not all dvd players will read the movie correctly. Any ideas are3 welcome.

Several things can cause that to occur.
First, when you were burning the disc, if you had any other programs running at the same time, the other programs can cause glitching of the burn.

Also, automatic updates can sometimes cause it.

It can also be caused by a bad copy of whatever movie you are burning, this can be caused by bad download, dirt on the disc or in the burner drive itself.

Even simple things like anti-virus programs can sometimes cause it to burn badly.

I would try this.
Reboot your computer to safe mode with network access.
Turn of ALL updates, and then try to burn it again.
You might also want to try burning it at a slower speed, sometimes that can also cause problems.

I hope this gives you some ideas as to how to get a better burn.

buy yourself dvd fab its about fifty quid but you can cop anything you want even sony discs

You usually download youtube vids as FLV files, there are plenty of free file conversion programs to change flv to avi or whatever format you want, you can then burn them onto a disc.
I have never used your software, so i am not sure if it handles flv files.If your dvd player will play avi/divx files, you could convert then to avi and burn them as a data disc using ant burning software, i use free software for this. CD burner XP and imgburn.

So your software should be able to burn your dvd, there should be a HELP menu on the software.

download 'dvdshrink' to crack and copy the movies and...
'nero' to burn them to a blank dvd.

These free programmes are better than most available on the market today and work really well.

I had the sam problem and it was because I had a virus. If your computer is in perfect working condition than you have got a bad batch of DVD's. Have you scanned your computer for viruses lately?

Hi there.
The driver that controls the burn engine has become corrupt, the best way to deal with this problem is to reinstall the software so the drivers are re-wrote over and the burn engine becomes usable again.

ROGER In order for me to better assist you, I will need a copy of your 123 product’s “Log Files”. Below you will find Instructions to assist you in locating these log files for both windows Vista, and Windows XP. I will also need you to include your License ID and/or Customer ID, your version number, and the name of the movie you are trying to copy. 
You may reply to this email with the log files or send them to [email protected].

WINDOWS VITSA INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Click start, and click the “Computer” button. 
2. Once in my computer, double click on the “Local Disk C:” icon, and click on the “Users” folder
3. Double click your User name
4. Once inside the folder, click the “Organize” button in the upper right hand corner of the screen.
5. Click “Folder and Search Options”, and move select the “View” tab.
6. Scroll down to the “Hidden Folder’s” file, and select the “Show Hidden Folders and Files” button. Click “Apply” and “OK”
7. Now you will be to see the “AppData” folder, double click that folder.
8. Once there double click the “Local” folder, then the “Virtual Store Folder”, “Program Files”, “123 Copy DVD”, and finally “Log”.
9. Attach to email, and email it to [email protected].


WINDOWS XP INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Click start, and click the “My Computer” button. 
2. Once in my computer, double click on the “Local Disk C:” icon, and click on the “Program Files” folder.
3. Once inside the folder, specific to your program (Example: 123Movies2PSP or 123CopyDVD)
