Have a SONY DAV DZ370 Home theater system. Displays 'Push Power Protect'. Tried 'cold reset' and all the manual stuff to no avail. Should I reset the M16C micro-controller or is there another way?

Push power protect is an indication of an output failure ( Amplifier ). The Home theater system is asking you to switch off the power to prevent further damage. This mode is called protection mode and you will need professional help sort it out.

I had had the same problem with my Sony DAV DZ 370 and got it fixed twice. The last time it was repaired was hardly a month before, but now it has failed the third time displaying the same alert.

I have a Sony DAVDZ150K home theater system. It displays DEST error. What is remedy please.

Not sure. General advice is 1) Try cold start (unplug, let set for several minutes, replug and try) 2) Try a reset (page 72 of user manual) 3) check any cabling. The troubleshooting in the user manual does not refer to this specific error.

How to fix push power protector Sony DAV-DZ870W

try disconnecting all speaker wires from the main unit, then turn it on. If it still goes into protect - then the amp is blown and you need to replace the main board.

Sony dav-dz370 s-master push power protecter

there is a problem with the amp. You would have to get the main board replaced. Hopefully it is under warranty, otherwise it is probably not worth fixing

Push power protector

Do a cold reset, page 90 of your manual. Push power button, stop button and disk eject at the same time. Wait 5 minutes and turn back on. Look on page 90 of the manual. This worked for me after trying over a year. I beat I didn't have 25 hrs on mine. Good Luck
