I have a Kenmore Dryer Model 11063942101. When I press the start button the dryer starts but stops as soon as I release the start button.

check the door safety switch, you can bypass it by jumping the 2 wires together, if it runs then just replace the door switch

Sounds like you have a bad motor. Sorry!

Sounds like a bad door switch. Thats about all it can be. I see this from time to time but not often.

Hi, You have a motor going bad. The start winding is out on it.
The motor will need replaced.

there are slots in the casing that slide down on tabs comeing out of the dryer. put the top part of the casing in then put the bottom part in and slide down on the tabs

there is a holding contact at the motor wiring, check the schematics and trace that holding contact. it should hold the motor running as soon as it starts.
